The PMC bronze 660 grain .50BMG is wildly inaccurate, 6+ MOA grouping. 4/10 being wild fliers literally YARDS off target, and at least 2 out of 30 that there was no splash,… no F’n clue where that round went!

My thoughts are that the mild steel core isn’t properly balanced inside the bullet.

Edit, yes that is the core of a round I fired at the 100 yard steel plate, it was still searing hot when we made it out there to pick the target up and assess the damage!

IIRC many of the rounds intended for MG’s are set to wobble and spread???

Yeah, but that’s definitely NOT what I want for an ELR precision rifle!

It is currently on its way back around the Earth.

Well crap! Thought I put you onto something there. Not a deal if you can’t put it on target at 100 yards for sure.

Karacal is probably right though! Keep your head down!

Yeah, I have 160 more of those rounds to fire….. looks like my match ammo will be here Thursday, hopefully the weather will be good for the weekend and I can try it out!

It hasn’t been fact checked yet, but moving to a red state makes all ammo more accurate and burns much cleaner!

Definitely makes it cheaper!

My wife saw the credit card in front of my computer the other day. She asked what are you doing? I’m ordering magaziness (unspoken: because my Pmag post convinced me I need 300BLK specific mags). She said what’s wrong with the ones you have? I didn’t even try, I just said, because they are on sale

Okay,… Hornady A-Max review;

My first shot at 500 yards (rangefinder showed between 499-510 depending on how stable you were) absolutely OBLITERATED the target and the stand! Knocked everything down, forcing us to go out and reset the stand…..

Picture is after we put it back together,… can you guess where I hit?

After the reset, my ex Navy buddy hit it again on his first shot! His hit was lower and didn’t disassemble the stand again….

It did however break one of the chains and leave the stand leaning heavily, and the target hanging backwards….

My sisters shot (she missed, but damn if the angle of the video wasn’t epic!!!)

To be fair, she’s got a LOT to learn about guns, hell she was originally terrified to shoot my 5.56 Tavor!

After that I took another shot to see if I could kill it… my buddy zoomed in as far as possible,… the green target in the foreground is 150 yards,… orange is roughly 500

If you’re counting, that’s 3/3 hits with two experienced shooters, one newbie miss!

My oldest wanted to take a shot at the 150 steel, I massively miscalculated the hold under to hit it and it was a short miss,… and again, not an experienced shooter….

Unfortunately I did not get good footage of his shot…. Super disappointed.:frowning:

But 4 shooters, 5 shots, 3 hits @ 500 yards…. And ALL of the hits were absolutely devastating!:rofl::rofl::smiling_face_with_sunglasses::smiling_face_with_sunglasses::smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I will take only spending $50 at the range on THAT gun, and still having 95 rounds of F’ $#!+ UP at long range left!

I also put plenty of rounds from my Tavor 7 on at 500,… the target would swing, and you could just hear the hit a second later….

I need to find some match grade 7.62 NATO
