My ex wife thought the only way to clean cast iron was to burry it in the bottom of the sink full of dirty dishes and let it soak in fetid soapy water with fuzz growing on it for as many days as possible!.. Suffice to say she destroyed all my iron.
Iām a mixed bag on maintenance, generally I like to clean it while itās still hot, warm water, soap and a Brillo pad, then re season with beef tallow.
Last time I used my Dutch oven, I totally forgot to clean it,ā¦ so I boiled water in it for about 20 minutes to loosen everything, then scrubbed and seasoned.
I currently have a lodge 12" skillet, and also bought this set of Finex,ā¦ Absolutely love the Finex!
