Best cleaning kit for Shield EZ 380

Please recommend cleaning kit for a Smith & Wesson Shield EZ 380. Ordering online how can I know that a cleaning kit has a brush for a 380? Thanks so much.

.380 is a 9mm short so you can use the 9mm brush to clean it.
Today I used this kit to clean my Sig Rose 380.

I keep one of these small kits in my range bag.

How much kit do you want? There are endless options. If you own other size calibers, you may want to buy a kit that handles them all. I use Hoppes bore snakes after every use, but don’t go nuts cleaning as it is a waste of time and supplies. Firearms are much tougher than that.

I have kits which I rarely use (every 1000+ rounds or so). Otis FG-211 BX, Hoppes black oil.

Hard to recommend, each of us uses what works best in our opinion… so it’s very personal.

Some of us prefer bore-snake, other rod with brush - so you need to decide what will work better for you.

If you go with rod kit - look for rod with rotating handle. In addition, be sure the kit is equipped with regular nylon brush and any kind of pick.

Just look for anything for 9MM - it works ok with 380.

Good luck :crossed_fingers:

Off topic, my sister was looking at the Sig Rose 9mm. How do you like the .380 model?

@Karacal I also use the USCCA kit. Very complete and handy.

Will have to figure out which I’d prefer. Good to know that 9MM works for 380. Thx.

Don’t know yet. I just picked it up today and it’s my first pistol. I’m told it’s a good pistol for beginners.

Thx Tom.

H3ll just go to WallyWorld and bring about $ 7 and get a great one, in a little blue plastic box with a clear top and it’s got it all, snake , solvent and Rem-oil or sumtin similar. Spend a Whopping 12 bucks and really get one ! Screw ordering, I’m starting to get a bit a disheartens with that, But that’s just me.

It’s good enuf for anyone

A .380 is what I carry 95% of the time and I’ve got prolly 8 9mm’s, I even carry my .32 if not the .380. I feel safe with all of them but since I have health problems I can’t carry a big gun anymore and what the Brand claims this “ sub compact guns are a joke,

Thanks.

I also use that kit… but, new release, without USCCA logo and smaller case.

I have the bigger version of this kit, it has shotgun sized brushes and swabs. Works just fine.

It is the softest 380 I have ever shot. Slide is easy to rack for those of us with bad hands. Getting the Vaultek with it was a big plus. :sunglasses:
