I have a lot of experience with Fiskars mauls, splitting mauls and axes. Quite happy with them. I broke a maul after years of abuse. The maul was out of stock so they sent a check for the retail price after sending a photo. For wood splitting they design their splittin axe head heavy, very effective high speed technique. Bought a small camp axe from them, very pleased.
Funny, next thread had my post and pic of the maul. . I found their splitting axe to be my favorite processing tool after the Honda GX 
with elm and swamp maple and stumps, and could split ash and straight grain oak faster and easier than the gas splitter.
