Personally I would not bring one to a gun fight. I would not shoot someone with on if my life wasn’t in danger.
You make valid points. I would want both, but lethal as a last resort. Use lethal force in this country and you are most likely going to jail. There is no question. Right or wrong, you are probably going to jail. Even if you get out on bail, you face a legal and civil lawsuit-crazy system that will most likely do everything possible to make an example out of you. Sure, make the weapon of choice fit the scenario, but realize everything will change, even if you only wound someone.

Well sure, if you only wound them they could shoot you dead. Then you won’t have anything to worry about.
. To tell the truth, I don’t see any benefit in that.
I like it! Though I would likely only use the blade for opening letters and boxes. It also may be considered an illegal hidden blade in some states.

I ended up buying pepper spray for my daughter and myself. We’ll toss them before our flight back home.
First time I carried one since 201… can’t remember anymore, my pre-CCW days. I had a different kind of situational awareness during my short trip to St. Paul, MN earlier today.
Wind direction, particularly, something I’ve not paid attention to in a long while.
