Oh no, another scary Russian rifle round that can defeat anything. Let’s piss away billions of dollars building yet another screwed up weapon system around an unproven caliber from an EU supplier, while the 7.62mm NATO just waits for everyone to come back around.

Well, this new ammo should be interesting for 2 reasons at least. It is closer to 6mm than to 7mm, which is where NATO experiments. Also the simple brass case, not the expensive composite case technology. How it performs in the field is anyone’s guess!
