Here in Portland violent crime is down, overdose is down and homelessness has been decreasing. But these rates have been decreasing for the last couple years, hopefully we see pre-pandemic levels soon.

Currently my neck of the woods is quiet. I’m far enough out in the suburbs that the inevitable protests that will pop up in Denver likely won’t affect me.
My workplace however, is in an industrial area with a large Hispanic population…. Things could get spicy around there.

Not at all related to leftist protests,
two weeks ago, I heard what I thought was at least one shotgun blast.
Reports of a shooting led to multiple LEs converging a block away from my house, with a helicopter circling overhead giving directions to the shooter(s) to surrender and for residents to stay inside while K-9 units were at work.
Perps escaped before cops arrived, no arrests have been made as of today.
