What are your favorite shooting drills, explain why to help others out

That’s a great drill for newbie.
Once you start doing great grouping in all distances, make it a warmup procedure and advance to “dot drill”:
1 inch circles, 5 in the raw, 5 raws (25 dots). Distance - 4 yards
1st and 2nd raws: single shot per circle from compressed ready
3rd and 4th raws: 3 shots per circle from compressed ready (try to be within 5 - 6 seconds per circle)
5th raw: single shot per circle from the holster.

This drill verifies all shooting fundamentals.

Correct on both counts.

The magnesium will most definitely eat the barrel up and the temperature it burns at is hot enough to set your house on fire.

Safest loads for a SD Shotty are slugs. OO buck or #4 Buck - not #4 shot. Completely different load.
