Kinda has that feeling of the movie on Amazon Prime called โThe Homesteadโ. That was a small fishing boat off CA that set off a huge bomb. Or it could be a look over here not there thing.

Most of us didnโt even know the Oscars were this weekend. That tells you everything about where Hollywoodโs cultural authority stands in 2026.
Like most of you, nobody watched the nominated films. Nobody asked for the pretentious ping pong movie. Nobody requested the Jim Crow era black vampire film. Hollywood keeps making movies for Hollywood โ and then acts shocked when the rest of the country doesnโt show up.
But hereโs the part that never gets old. These celebrities are going to walk into that theater wearing their ice-out pins proclaiming they love immigrants โ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐น๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐ฎ ๐ฏ๐๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฏ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ด๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐, ๐ฎ ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ฎ๐น๐น, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ธ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ถ๐ป๐๐. They stepped over homeless people on Hollywood Boulevard in million dollar gowns to get there. Theyโve been paying minimum wage to their household staffs for decades. And they didnโt know what ICE was a year ago โ theyโre just scared their landscapers are going to get deported.
Save us the virtue signaling. Put your money where your mouth is or sit down.
The set this year is designed with trees and moody lighting. Theyโre calling it a sanctuary. It looks like an upscale rehab facility โ so most of the cast will feel right at home.
The Academy Awards used to mean something. Now itโs Will Smith punching people, wrong envelopes being opened, and a rotating cast of celebrities in clown outfits patting each other on the back for films nobody watched. ๐๐ป ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น๐ฎ๐บ๐ถ๐๐.
