Why I’ve always been a proponent of on body carry. People act like it’s a huge inconvenience but I wouldn’t think it would be any more inconvenient than leaving your pistol in a diaper bag probably at a facility that doesn’t allow weaponsšŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø

I agree with that statement. Mine is always on my hip unless I am in the shower or bed, then it is still within arm’s reach.

My Loving Wife, on the other hand, DOES NOT carry on her body. She is a girly girl and wears girly girl clothing. VERY difficult to conceal even a small pea shooter. She ALWAYS has her purse with her though, so she ALWAYS has said pea shooter with her. In the time we have been together, I do not recall one instance where she left or lost her purse somewhere.

With all the other couples we have been associated with through the years, the wives have all carried their sidearms in the diaper bag, trading their personal items back and forth between purse and diaper bag as required same as we did. I don’t think any of them had any issues of leaving a sidearm somewhere.

It all comes down to the responsibility of the parent. The parents in the story were not responsible.

No I get where you’re coming from. My girlfriend is a retired police officer of 29 years and she absolutely refuses to carry her weapon on her hip anymore. She does have a little advantage over the common CCW in that she has three decades of seeing trouble coming, so hopefully that will give her enough time if it ever arises

Prey for the best, plan for the worst.

My thought is, she violated the ā€œhave physical control of your weapon at all times ruleā€ as soon as she walked away from the diaper bag she lost control of the firearm.
