Tips for a first timer

I would highly suggest working with an instructor or someone well versed in firearms the first time anyone shoots a gun. If you’ve shot before and are trying new firearms, I highly suggest renting before you buy. Some ranges won’t allow you to rent a firearm if you’re alone.

I work as a range instructor with a CCW class in OH, and one consistent theme I’ve noticed is that there are a lot of women who come to the class with a pistol their friend told them to buy–a .38 special snub nose.
