In general when it was available and better than cheap prices I stocked up and relegated it to “bunker ammo” or fire and forget. The theory being that if I plowed through my “1st shelf” ammo that it has gone so bad that 2 MOA ammo would hold down the fort. Not a fan vs my reloads but for GP Ammo it fills the bill as long as you are aware of the issues with lacquer and changing ammo types.

I have run hundreds of wolf ammo through my Glock pistols with no issues.
The only issues I had with steel cased wolf was loading my magazines with my ETS speed loader, the loader jams up even with using oil on the run. But I hand loaded my magazines with no issues.
Now what I learned from watching James Yeager on YouTube years ago, he stated that an AK 47 (&SKS) are made to use steel cased ammo but if you use steel cased ammo in a AR it can gum up the barrel in the firing camber because of the coating on the steel casing. So the trick is if you are running steel cased though your AR , run a cleaning brush in the firing camber, in the barrel while it is still hot/warm before stopping and putting your AR down or before you plan shooting again or getting ready to shoot brass cased ammo (you should shoot your brass ammo first if you are planning to shoot steel ammo and brass).
Glock is known from its reliability… which comes with the factory trick - super tolerance for everything:
- thick oil or thick grease
- dirt, dust, debris
- brass ammo, alu ammo, steel ammo, even legos

I’m not surprised you can reliably shoot steel ammo… however the time will come (quicker than normal) when the barrel looses its accuracy. You cannot change the physics… steel casing will wear the chamber much quicker then brass or alu.
