That was intense to watch. Beautiful!
We were on pins and needles. Thank God they are home!
Venus and Jupiter were at their closest conjunction last night,.. if you look closely at the bottom right you can also see Mercury in frame. 
Not too bad of a pic from a cell phone in the middle of a badly light polluted industrial area!
You call them planets, I call them UFOs.

And Mercury peeking out just in between the clouds.
I like seeing alignments like this as it shows the plane of the solar system as the planets orbit the sun in real time.

We were watching them for a few nights. My wife was oohing and aaahing over the stars, so I got the nods out…even without them it really makes you think looking at the stars.
