This is true, but it always feels awkward when people try to make some sort of equivalency argument regarding slavery in British Colonies / United States. Part of my family is Irish, and I always hear stories about how the Irish were just as mistreated. And don’t get me wrong, the Irish were treated horribly (just like most groups of people were at some point in their history), but we weren’t legal chattel in the “land of the free.”
It just makes me uneasy, is all. Like when men try to compare some sort of pain to childbirth.

Women often willingly give birth to more than one child. A man gets kicked in the jewels once and he NEVER wants to experience that pain again. Just sayin.
I guess women ARE stronger!
