AUS-8, AUS-8A, AUS-10, and AUS-10A - respectively, both contain exactly the same alloy make-up - and are made by the AICHI STEEL CORPORATION of Japan. The “A” is supposedly added to denote that it’s undergone a more refined annealing process, but the terms are used interchangeably - many knives might be MISlabeled, and this situation should be straightened OUT - we don’t need another Bark River fiasco.
