First AR15

I have been very happy with the couple of scopes and prism sights I have purchased from Primary Arms. I buy their mid tier products which are usually made in the Philippines. Their budget stuff is usually made in China but gets good reviews and their high end stuff is mostly made in Japan.

I also have a couple of not bad entry level Vortex optics and top notch Holosun Optics that were made in China. If you avoid the bottom barrel entry level junk the Pacific Rim products can be very good.

In my personal experience made in America doesn’t mean what it used to. The added expense doesn’t necessarily equal added quality anymore. In many cases it doesn’t even really mean made in America any more since they apply that label even when they are only doing some final assembly of parts and pre assembled components that were actually made outside of the U.S.

True! It’s more than what I paid for my Ruger AR-556 :eyes:

Congrats! Not sure if you know what your in for now. Its kind of like that sayingbabout drugs, when you use it once your now addicted and as for the AR i can definitely say thats 100% true. But its so much fun building them and shooting/training and customizing from trual and error. I got my 1st AR in 2003 and there was maybe 5 or 6 major manufacturers and I went with a Bushmaster 14.5 A2 and it was ban compliant so it had the ridiculous pinnednstock and a shaved bayo lug causs we know how deadly bayonet lugs are.

Now 21 years later ive built each one and i now have 8 but have sold probably 10 others. I just built a PCC Aero AR9 Glock mags which im really happy with
