A message to non-voting evangelicals…

We Christians here in this nation were given something very few Christians in history have had. The ability to choose who might represent us by voting for our representatives. Our ancestors were aware of this and voted accordingly for over 200 years! Our ancestors would have objected severely about a law passed to silence our pastors and preachers and such! Any politician voting to silence the pulpit would have been voted out of office very quickly!

Does it ever say in the Bible we are to stop standing and shinning our light and doing what is right? Does it say we can relax and kick back and do nothing because so many believe Jesus is coming?

“Tests and trials will require work on their part and most people don’t like to work. They enjoy living in their comfort zone and they crave the quiet life with as little detours and distractions as possible. They like microwaves and remote control switches. They wouldn’t think of getting out of their easy-chair and walking across the room to turn on the television set themselves.

These people are not workers, they are floaters. They float through life and take whatever this world throws at them. Whatever will be will be. It is these lazy people who will never gain prominence in the kingdom of God. They are satisfied at being where they’re at, wherever “that” might be, and will never rise above the level of being mediocre believers.

These are the people who back away from the heat of walking through the fire of growth. They pull back and become only “half-baked.” The Bible calls these people “lukewarm” and says that God will spew them out of His mouth (Revelations 3:16). This statement is hard but true and the sooner the decision is made to face our trials and not run away from them the better off we’ll be.”

Yes it does say GOD is in control! It also says GOD will test us! To know our worth. Does the crucible of refining fire ring a bell? Do the letters to the 7 church’s mean anything? Neither hot nor cold mean anything? So are we failing that test by not standing for and voting for our beliefs?

Proverbs 17:3
The crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and the Lord tests hearts.

Jeremiah 9:7 “Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts: I will now refine and test them, for what else can I do with my sinful people?”

The BOOK tells us there will be so many raving wolves in sheep’s clothing coming among us to deceive us and lead us astray. Have they infiltrated the seminaries? Are there church’s that are preaching lies? Are there leaders among us that intend to betray us and lead us astray? Do such agents ignore the BOOK and tell us what we want to hear rather then the truth of the BOOK?

1 John 4:1
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

“Moments of decision. Your life is full of them, and how you respond can have lifelong impact. The decision process can be as intense as a crucible—a vessel in a refining fire, a place where precious substances are tested, purified, and strengthened.

That’s a picture of the process God uses in our lives. When the heat is on, what decisions will we make? What kind of character rises to the surface?”

Colossians 2:8
See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.

Perhaps the answer is to VOTE like your very soul depends on?

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love” (1 Cor.** **16:13–14)

We have let the left define who we Christians are. Jesus didn’t roll over and play dead or want his belly scratched. He stood up and told us to do the same.
