I graduated from high school in Danville, Illinois, from Danville High School in 1960. In September of 1961 I enlisted in the Army Security Agency, went to Basic at Ft. Leonard Wood in Missouri, then for advanced training at Ft. Devens, Massachusetts. Finally, I was sent to the 14th Field Station near Hakata, Japan where I served for two years.

After leaving the Army, I studied at the University of Arizona, first majoring in physics, then in philosophy, graduating with a B.A. in philosophy with minors in English and Mathematics. I moved to Houston, Texas after being accepted into graduate school at Rice University.

Since then I’ve lived in Malaysia and Indonesia while working for what was then Brown and Root. I returned to Houston in 1975 and have remained here. Since that time my jobs have included Security Field Responder, public Middle School English teacher, Novell Systems Engineer, and Employment Counselor.

I married Aliza on June 6th, 1982 in Tiberias, Israel. We have one adult daughter, Michele.

That’s the short of it; the long would be far too boring!
