Retired USCG MCPO. Though I’ve been a hunter for a while I started carrying for personal defense about 5 years ago. Having been in the unique service of USCG as a rescuer and occasionally Involved in law enforcement I believe training is everything if you own a firearm whether a hand gun or long gun. My wife and kids (all adults) are also carriers and shooting enthusiasts.
