Why do you Carry your EDC?? Are we more safe with it. Some people have a License to carry .! And they don’t have any intention of Defending themselves . How many members are serious about Defending themselves?? I have already made up my mind !! If that terrible Day comes . My Life . The Life of my Family . Are Not in fear . Is your Family safe .The true question is . Will you Defend your Loved Ones

The first thing any instructor should ask ?? Why do you feel the need to ??? Carry a firearm and if it’s to protect your Self and your Loved ones . Can you . Trust your self to pull the trigger .! It’s not the same as carrying your edc.!! We have to have the mindset to know Be on any Doubt we can and will . Do what we have Trained for!!! End the Enemy!!! I know that first time I got in a fire fight I was shakin and in total Disbelief. It was in slow motion !! I still taste the GSR. From time to time. !! This is one of the most serious Questions ever asked . In your Life . And I am asking what would you Do hide Run take cover?? Or fight Back . I’m talking about being under FIRE. ??? Do you know for certain. The first time . I Froze and I got shot first. After that .!!! Never again will I stand there and get my favorite shirt caught on fire at point blank. A . Little .380, put a silver Dollar hole in my shoulder and my favorite shirt was on fire. The second time he shot me I was gettin with the program. Just think !! No Hero had his gun not jammed he was truly just getting started on killing my AZZ kaz I never gave any thought to the QUESTION I JUST ASKED . Don’t be stupid .Like I was after the second Round my ears were still ringin I finally answered the phone . He couldn’t have been over 14, years old .!! So the enemy can be a teenager.

My daughter put me on the spot years ago. She’s probably in her early twenties and it didn’t sound like small talk: “Dad, would you die for me.”
And my answer was, “yes, I would die for you. If necessary, I would even kill for you.” (I did not say murder but kill)
During my initial application for a permit, I credit my CCW instructor for making me have second thoughts about getting one considering the legalities and the consequences. I seriously almost backed out.

My Krav Maga instructor starts his beginner classes with “If you are not completely willing to destroy the body parts of another human being you are in the wrong class.”.
My answer to the OP is. I will absolutely stop an attack with an EDC.

Mainly because I’ve been carrying for decades, going without EDC would feel like going to work without shoes on. Some sheep dog in there, if I have the opportunity to save someone that cannot defend themselves it might put enough checks in the boxes at the Pearly Gates to keep me from taking up Satan for a roommate. Finally, cantankerous SOB philosophy - I don’t mind dying, but dying for the lack of shooting back is something else entirely.

I carry because it has been part of my life since becoming a law enforcement officer in 1984. I would give my life for my family and loved ones. I do Church security now and carry and would take a bullet for a pastor if need be. I will not sit by and let myself be shot without defending myself. If you are not willing to defend yourself don’t apply for a ccw.

Truly Blessed me and the Doctors finally Gave me the exploratory surgery I needed to stay alive!! That’s the power of prayer kaz they just wouldn’t Listen to me. It was all the prayers that opened the eyes of my Doctors it was the prayers that kept me alive for and through the surgery!! The protonSpinner that’s.how I feel walking out of my house without any shoes on!! After Being so injured that my EDC was to heavy to put on and.get to.the car . I thought about all the people who are injured and they can’t even protect themselves . And the enemy Doesn’t care if they are injured in fact they want to harm others who can’t Protect themselves!! That PIZZES ME OFF . Kaz not Long ago that was myself. Just hurting to Bad to carry my EDC and my Mags. Hell my Boots were too heavy !! Sir I carry Because of that Helpless Feeling . And I noticed the Criminals come after the weak and Disabled!! That is a Fact . Now that I have had surgery and I Feel so much Better I carry not for just me and mine. I carry Because we have so many criminals and enemies to our country !!! That .as your self I don’t want to Run out of ammunition!!! I just carry 70 rounds . And pray that is enough till Law Enforcement gets there!!! I have heard of never hearing about any one needing more than a mag. Who Believes that never Been in a Fire fight!! Joel106 yes sir that’s why I carry because the Law cannot possibly protect us in this new world of SHiiTT of invaders and All the criminals and children of the night!! Who truly mean to kill steal and Destroy us all . The uscca has Learned me safety and if anything else I won’t never have a Reckless Round getting away from me again!! I bet I’m not the only one who has had a round get away kaz I don’t think or take any course on how to Safely Operate my EDC!!! O I knew just enough to stop the threat!! I carry for several reasons but the reason I now carry ALWAYS is because I became disabled a few years ago and I can no longer defend myself from any type of attack. Years ago, I was able to fend off an aggressor, or if need be I could retreat (run) from a situation, I simply can’t do that anymore. I also carry because I’d feel so helpless if somebody violently attacked my family and I was unable to do anything to prevent it from happening. I know it’s cliche but “better to have and not need than to need and not have.”
