I had the unfortunate experience of trying to discuss “gun control” legislation with Dan Helmer as a VCDL rep several years ago. He made it a point to state he had been in the military and used “military-grade” weapons and that no one should have the right to own “military” assault weapons, such as an AR-15. When questioned on that, as it is not a military weapon, he had no real answer. He is an example of a disgusting. mealy-mouthed human that has no good value in our government.
