Why are Self-Defense Cases so Expensive?

Tim is a firm believer in the 80/20 rule: 20 percent of your activities will account for 80 percent of your results. That goes for people as well.

Tom Grieve uses that rule (also known as the Pareto Principle or Pareto Distribution) to discuss self-defense cases:

Where do you see the 80/20 rule hold true in your life?

From bitter experience I think the 20% competence estimate is a bit generous, at least in general. I have no experience with criminal defense attorneys, so I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

The guy in the video seems about right. +1
