What Would You Do: Mob surrounds your car

OH! my goodness! The police are NOT your friends. They are an arm of the state to force you to do the state’s will… legal or not. The police are NOT there to be liked or disliked. And it all SHOULD still ring true- because it is true. The police know little of the laws they want to enforce and even less about the Constitution they took an oath to defend.

First, there were only 20 who were put to death in the witch trials in Salem. Other than that I agree with you the really bad politicians are in really bad areas of the nation where independent thinking is not allowed.

Totally agree! Admittedly, when I swore the oath, (at 17) I didn’t know squat, however after fighting a Cold War, I understood the oath and the constitution. Since I took up arms and received my CCW, in conjunction with the last 4 years of the political BS, I’ve referenced and referred to the constitution more times than Ted Cruz. I think I’m ready to argue to the court!

Also agree with that, they are just following orders. Who, in their right mind stands in front of a crowd that is preparing to kill them and not move in on self preservation alone. I feel if they did what was necessary and quelled the violence immediately we wouldn’t be here. As a society we do need some type of law and order, if not, we’re tasting what the real world will be like! Fires and chaos.

I totally agree with this!
Although to be candid, I would have sent a round to at least one of them being that I would have felt my life was threatened. Running me down and blocking me with vehicles, and then having people smash in my windows…some one will meet their creator.
The streets were made for cars, not people walking all over the place looking to exercise evil intent.

Now with that said, I would have NOT gone down that street at all…Pride is before the fall!
Turn around and avoid the surround!

First, that might be sound advice… however,
There are cases where you either did not know they were there, and by the time you are there, there is no easy turn around… or you are almost where you are going and they have no legal right to block the road… and it might be part of your job to travel that road or where you need to get to.

There are signs about 40-80 miles from the Southern border of the US, warning Americans that they should avoid that part of America, because it might be dangerous… not due to terrain, but due to illegal aliens, drug cartels, and other criminal and terrorist activity.

Do we really want to surrender our nation and our rights and cower?

Not saying we should seek out trouble, but if you travel a certain road on a regular basis, and you turn the corner and suddenly there are illegal, lawless, terrorists in the road, and especially if turning around is not an easy option due to the street or crowds, drive slowly through, they are supposed to move.
If they attack you, you are then in a self defense situation.

Their lawlessness does not give them protection.

So, yes, if you know in advance that the street is blocked, call the police to file a complaint and go another route, if you do not know and find yourself suddenly confronted, the next steps depend on circumstances unique to each situation.

Have you not seen the police standing down (or as they called it in Omaha-- redeploy)? Those the police consider less desirable are left t o fend for themselves while the police protect politicians, big box stores and their own friends and family… you cannot depend on the police and the people need to understand this unfortunate fact and prepare to defend themselves.

I’m going to start carrying magnetic signs to slap on my car for all the different groups who I might encounter protesting if I end up driving down a street where they maybe.
Instant camouflage!

I had just this situation happen to me at the end of a local Trump rally in about September last year. 8 Young men ran between the “convoy” and stopped me, completely surrounded, front, rear and sides. They were obviously drunk (all had beer bottles in their hands), and judging from the house and area they came out of, probably high on drugs as well. My windows were open and I placed my concealed carry pistol in my lap but didn’t “brandish” it. I yelled out the window that I was going to run them over if they didn’t get out of the way, and then I gunned it hard, dodging the three of them as they scattered. The people in the next two cars didn’t get off so lucky, but were not injured. There was some damage to one of their cars and the other one had their car door jerked open before they took off like I did. There was a shot from somewhere I couldn’t see. We regathered a couple of blocks later and one of the people in the convoy called the police. There were two arrests made among the youth who pulled the car door open and broke a windshield with a beer bottle. In my case, I weighed the options. Didn’t see any firearms on any of the eight young(er) people, but felt threatened anyway, so staying in an enclosed vehicle and getting the heck out of Dodge was my best option, which I took.

N.C. May also need better drivers :man_facepalming:

This scenario was played out in an episode of CSI. The CSI investigator was forced to drive through a mob, to avoid being killed. One of the perpetrators was ran over and died. The driver ended up in court, alive. You pays your dime, you takes your chances. The outcome was never in doubt. It was a TV show. But pre-plan where you want to be when the dust settles.

As I understand it >> if you call 911 from your cell phone 1) there is caller I’d in that
System. 2) there is a setting in you phone to turn on or OFF THE GPS SETTING.
3) if you did call 911 you would have to give them your location or wait for them to relay your distress call to PD in your area. 4) if ( IF ) you saw the slightest hint of a gathering you should have got out of the area Tute sweet. 5) unless you ran over people to get away your EDC WOULD NOT HELP. >>> more than likely your dead
Meat. :paraguay::paraguay::paraguay:

This is bullshit. O Quin was not using her car as a deadly weapon. As I can see what the video shows, the driver was SLOWLY making a turn AWAY from the idiots that put themselves in harms way. The dumb ass near the rear of the vehicle was acting! Oh like Le Bron James falling down in a basketball game feigning a fowl?!
Buzz off

Welcome to the family @Steven226 and you are blessed to be here.

Dash cameras are inexpensive. Every vehicle should have one.
Mine has caused a few people to behave more civil once their attention was drawn to it.

Just my opinion but once a protest turns on citizens it changes from a peaceful protest to a mob. A mob becomes a conspiracy to commit a crime and there are all criminals. Florida has passed laws that would tend to agree and some states have ruled that fleeing such a mob, even by driving through it is justified if you feel your life is in danger. My 911 call would include my fear for my life, my desire to flee and my intention to defend myself. as long as my vehicle was not breached I might restrain myself. However if the only thing between me and freedom or escape was i line of people I would look for the opening and hit the gas. Take my chances with the recording of my 911 and fellow citizens as a jury. In Portland, Seattle, New Jersey or New York I would curse myself for being there in the first place. But still try to force my way through the mob before I got surrounded. If that fails I would pray for police intervention. If however all else fails I will not go down without a fight. To not be too specific I see it as them, any of them or all of them against me and mine, what you have to do you do.

Now I will admit some of this comes from my military training where I would wish to call in a A-10 strike on the enemy clearing a path for my vehicle. But that isn’t going to happen anymore than me driving in New York, Seattle, LA, Chicago, Minneapolis or anywhere that BLM or Antifa is active and staging “Protests”. Take Hyperbole for what it is worth.

I thought protests would become tame but I was naive. Hoping we all use care, avoid risk if able to, have no regrets:

That old man was scared to death! I don’t plant to be scared to death!

What are the general rules for the angry homicidal mob!
Personally I won’t become a Reginald Denny❗️We’ve been good and patient for way too long. If i felt the angry mob would be incarcerated, I might be more likely to follow the “rules”, but if they only apply to me, game over!
