Nope. Now if they would make a red dot that would read darkness levels, switch to a night vision mode, that would be cool. Expensive but cool

With a laser rangefinder and windage detector that would adjust the dot accordingly!

What could go wrong?

Where do I start?

    • The big 4 x 6 phone screen blocks the shooters true field of vision.
    • The shooter would become hyper focused on the screen and the peripheral would be ignored.
    • The bright yellow screen after each shot due to the hot gasses escaping the barrel blinds the hyper focused shooter who is not paying attention to his or her peripherals.
    • I canā€™t see the recoil being anything but fatal for the phone.

I applaud his ingenuity in developing this phenomenal bad example of what not to do.

I think it would be cool as a toy or a conversation piece at the range, but as for putting it on a defensive weapon that a big NO, but, on the other side of the coin I wouldnā€™t mind being able to pull it out of my pocket and use it as a target locating device, like someone might use binoculars. Would really come in handy for those pesky nocturnal creatures pilfering around the property, both 4-legged and 2-legged.

It looks to me like the kind of thing that would only appeal to people whose whole shooting experience was with video games.

It looks idiotic to me, and franky dangerous. It violates rule 4. How can you be totally sure of your target and whatā€™s beyond it if your eyes are on a video screen?

Look up from your phones, people.
