Hello my name is Daniel FALK and I’m a retired veteran of 22 1/2 years and I’ve been carrying since 2016 and I joined the USCCA in 2019. I mainly carry hand guns and recently one of my hand guns got stolen when I was on vacation. I’m glad I became a member because I’m currently going through a legal matter about my handgun being stolen. I was issued a citation for not properly securing it. Any way I’m glad to be part of the community.

Just to help the rest of us out, (so we don’t store it the same way) how/where was it stored? (For example, a lot of us buy cheap lock boxes with cables for storage in our trunk, or attached under a seat.) Thank you in advance for your reply.

  • What got you interested in carrying and self-defense? Retired Marine, Former EP 2007-2011, Afghanistan. Currently a Driver for affluent people in their POVs.
  • How long have you been training for your self-defense? 1991
  • What formal training have you had? See above. Also was aNRA firearms instructor.
  • What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten regarding your self-defense?
  • situational awareness, better to be proactive than reactivate. Buy once, cry once.
  • What’s your favorite gun? G33/ 357 sig, HK usp comp .40, kimber LE/RL 45.
  • How often do you train? not often any more, Broke both wrists in MC accident, 100% other drivers fault. Its difficult to manipulate semi autos, and shotguns.
  • How have you gotten your friends and family involved?no, sister was a firearms instructor, father is also a retired Marine.
  • What do you hope to learn from others in the USCCA Community? 1st I need a little assistance in filling out the Kalifornia CCW application. I dont want to make any mistakes. There is a horrible back story that coincides with a CCW with my birth state of VA.
