I guess I haven’t introduced myself yet so, here it is.
My name is; J O H N aka: Blk_Horse311
Retired Army Veteran, Oath-Keeper, 3% (Molon Labe), Survivalist and a concealed/open carrier for over 30 yrs from the beautiful State of Washington (Yakima). Basic USCCA member because my state -will not allow- the USCCA insurance program. OMG! I can’t take much more of these sick minded socialist politicians? They have no concept of what a Law Abiding, Gun Carrying Citizen is.
Glad to be a member and I proudly display the USCCA logo sticker on my Jeep GC rear window. Keep up the good work, USCCA.
I guess I haven’t introduced myself yet so, here it is.
Hello my name is Mike from Ohio glad to part of this community
Hello, my name is Frank from Pineview,Ga. been a member for 3 years & love all USCCA functions & videos
Hey all. My name is Mark but I was tagged in the navy with Murph. I have had a love affair with firearm starting a few years in the early 60’s. I am new to these boards and I am very glad to be apart of the group. I started carrying in the early 90’s when I maintained an FFL. I had dreams of selling firearms and doing light gunsmithing. It was fun haveing my friends order there guns through me. There was no “Shall issue” Permits back then I had to have my license issued by the chief of police. The good old days, listening to shortwave broadcasts and the $89.00 Chinese Norinco SKS and the 1911 by the same maker.
(Forgive me, I thought this was a dialogue for my college courses answering almost every answer.)
Firstly, my name is Randall Anderson and I’m currently at the age of twenty-six (26). I’ve been a member of USCCA since June, but have followed them for a long time. My interest in carrying self-defense upon realizing that it was a law-abiding citizen who may be the only one to stop a horrific tragedy and even save a life including my very own. This wisdom came in the year of 2012. Firearm knowledge was something inherited by my grandfather (OPA, for German because he met my German grandmother stationed in Germany before the start of the Vietnam War)
The best advice would have come from my grandfather who taught me the value of some one’s life, this is believed to be due to either what he performed or witnessed in the war. There is no way to narrow it down to one statement although, he taught me real gun safety in a presuming old fashion military way. My grandfather would use simple statements as of those taught in the military such as, “always treat your weapon as it’s loaded even if you know it’s not.” Further, he is no longer with me, but his advice and training will die with me.
In addition, I’ve been proficiently training in self-defense measures since deciding to carry every day at between the ages of eighteen (18) and nineteen (19) Similarly, the safety and techniques have not changed much in logic, but being faster while staying on target is my main goal. After not one, but two real-life scenarios that could have affected my life… I’m ever grateful for my sidearm and the awareness to be able to use de-escalation tactics without the use of deadly force. (Some would argue, "Well it wasn’t necessary for you to draw, but while one attempt was to take my car while in it and the other being in my house would tell otherwise)
Importantly, my favorite gun is the Glock 17 and the reason is the grip feels natural in my hand, but I can also put the round where it needs to be. Some might argue the Glock 19 and I’m understanding of the argument, but to counter-argue, I was actually going to get the 19 upon putting the 17 in my hand. (We know its basically the same weapon except for barrel and grip)
Well, I did not realize that those were just suggestions, I thought this was an actual dialogue for a second in a college course. However, I’ll end with the notion of wanting to gain any knowledge from this community as possible. USCCA has already taught me a lot not just in the short time being a member, but also in the years prior in following them. If you have any questions…ask, I’m an open book and what little knowledge I’ve acquired is for you too. May God bless you all and stay safe out there, friends.
Randall W. Anderson

Thanks for the Welcome @Dawn. I’m Trevor Parker. I’m a 21 year old Christian, Texan, and a college senior getting my business degree online from Liberty University, and will be a proud graduate next spring. After college I plan on working for my dad who has a financial planning company in The Woodlands, TX. I’ve been a licensed holder for only a month and I’m looking for some online materials for handgun defense training.
I look forward to learning more about being a “Responsibly Armed American”.
I’m a pharmacist who escaped South Carolina 4 years ago with my family and moved to the paradise of North Idaho. I work remotely doing hospital IT work. Like most everyone else here, I carry to protect my family, and to protect myself so I can continue to be here for them. I also carry because I can, and if you don’t use your rights, you will lose them.
Thanks, Dawn! So nice to be around like-minded gun nuts.
Hi Dawn and thank you for the invitation. I’m Tomas; Originally from Brooklyn, NY and now in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. A beautiful and majestic area except for NYC and Albany NY politics. I’m a retired Engineer going into Real Estate and a private business. I’m a father of 6 with the oldest 34 and youngest 18. I carry concealed and shoot competitively at my local club and a member of the clubs Benchrest Shooting Committee. Committee member of the local Friends of NRA and I’m a very proud Freemason and officer at my lodge. I run a local chapter of an International youth group called DeMolay and love promoting and teaching the shooting sports especially to the youth and women. Never back down from our 2nd Amendment rights!!!
Hello all. I live in the Nashville, TN area now. I retired from the Army 5 years ago after a 31 year career. I did not start carrying a weapon on me in civilian attire until after I retired from the Army, but have done so for most of the past 5 years. At least where legal. I am an avid Constitutionalist, political centrist, and defender of freedom in general. I have spent a lifetime protecting the people of this nation, so they can make their own decisions, so long as they do not negatively impact others or break laws. And I stand by that now, maybe even more being a retiree. I think this organization and company provide a superb service, necessary more now than ever, and will continue to be a member so long as they do not go off the clear path, too far. I hope everyone here takes what they learn from USCCA community, and balances that with the host of information available, and use your own ability to make your own decisions for your own reasons. Good luck, and HOOAH!!
Hi. My name is Jason. I’m a RN from the great state of North Carolina. I’m proud to say I’m also a new elite member of USCCA. I follow the youtube channel regularly and enjoy the information it brings. Have a great day!
Hello from WI. Became a USCCA member today after getting my CCW permit last month. Have only carried about a half dozen times over the past few weeks. Getting used to it and realized I need to be protected if I ever needed to utilize my rights.
Bought my first pistol last January but have shooting long guns for hunting for a while. The decision to buy a pistol and get my CCW follows the same logic as my decision to get my first AR a couple years ago. The world is getting reckless. I’ve seen a lot being in corrections the last 29 years but things in our neck of the woods have been exceptionally weird the last two.
Wanting to protect myself and my family beyond my capabilities as a defensive tactics trainer caused me to reach out beyond what we can do in a facility where firearms are not allowed. I’m very interested in getting more training beyond the initial CCW course and will be looking for defensive pistol courses in my area.
Have also introduced the wife who is interested in getting her CCW now that we got her a pistol she can work with. She had trouble working the slide on the PPQ M2 so we got her a S&W 64. Great gun and she shoots it well.
I am happy to now be covered by USCCA in the event we need it and pleasantly surprised to find this community as an extra resource. I have already learned a lot just reading through this intro thread and look forward to learning much more.
Hi, I’m Chuck White I was a Sgt. and Armor in the 24th Infantry back in the late 60s early 70s.
My wife and I were both Hunter Safety Instructors we own a tree farm in Ohio. I worked construction for 32 years and for the past 17 years I am the Maintenance Manager at a local University. I am on the Firing Squad and Honor Guard at the local Legion. Deb and I were both members of the USCCA and I lost Deb in March. I carry a Springfield XDM 19+1 9mm.
I’ve been a long time gun owner and have been carrying concealed pretty much since I’ve become of age to legally do so. I’m partially physically disabled since childhood and I fully understand the world isn’t always the safe place we want it to be. I’m just your average American citizen trying to do whats right in this life. I work a regular 9-5 office job that keeps me occupied, however the location of my work is in a questionable part of town. I never leave home without my 9mm Glock. I decided to join USCCA after hearing many good things about the organization and to have that extra peace of mind knowing that I’ll have some backing should the unfortunate ever happen where I need to defend my life and those around me in a deadly encounter.
@Charles45 I want to express my extreme condolences about the loss of your wife to you Charles
I myself am born again christian, I asked Jesus into my life in 1983
I saw your post, and I think you have taken a pro stance on your protection, so have I
You know Jesus said to his followers one day “pick up your swords”
I cant remember where in the NT it is, but it says to me the time will approach, and we need to protect ourselves. I believe the Holy Spirit will protect us, but we have to do our part
Welcome everyone! I’m so excited to meet you all! Please jump in and ask questions or share you knowledge and experience!
@Charles45, my deepest sympathies about Deb. I hope you had many wonderful years together.
I have great respect for all those who have served our country in the military
Thank you for your service to the USA
