Watching morning tv news and just saw a story of a group traveling the country buying firearms and forging them into gardening tools.
Gentleman said “this makes people’s homes more SAFE”.
So remember, next time someone breaks into your home late one night and is armed with a handgun, make sure your shovel is by your bedside to defend yourself and loved ones.
Mine is still in it’s pre-dirt-digging life, though it can still make holes. Might be an interesting conversation starter with the neighbors using it for planting seeds, though.
Having more near misses with my splitting axe and firewood than any firearms lately. I suppose wood to shin is the equivalent of brass to face, but the damage is certainly greater.
get well soon <<<
A fool and his money are soon parted
I suppose they could use those plastic guns to make the handles.
If you melt down a “ghost gun” into a tool, will you be able to see it?
Maybe this is where many of the illegal guns are coming from.
You beat me to it. In CA, you can’t even loan a gun to a friend without a FFL involved.
Found this one but it’s about donating your gun (nope!)
- Disabling a gun isn’t something most people do every day. We’re building a network that helps people connect with others who have the knowledge, resources, and safe spaces to disable guns according to Federal ATF guidelines*.
Krazy stuff.
If you make a gun into a shovel, then beat someone to death with the shovel, does the FBI report that as a firearm death?
@BRUCE26 , boy now you made me wonder.
@Larry130 , now that’s just nuts. BUT !!!
This is what I just emailed them.
Thank you for your concern toward gun violence.
I think of myself as a responsibility armed gun owner. I realize there are a lot of deaths out here because of improper use of guns. Guns should only be use for protection. Sometimes that protection can only be found by killing but it should never be the intent. I think many people have the wrong impression of the proper use of guns because that is what they are lead to believe for one reason or another. I would like to understand what those reasons are. My reasoning is that if people are taught the proper use of guns they will not use them improperly. Can this be taught and do you think it will help? I am also a hunter and believe guns should be used for sustenance and the balance of nature. Please let me know if you have any insight in this situation or basically tell me what you think is in the best interest of mankind.
Thankfully, Robert
No different then a person dying from 5 gunshot wounds and they had covid and putting covid on the Death Certificate.
My guns are used for recreation. Running and gunning keeps me calm, and fairly sane…Ran today, shooting tomorrow.
I wish people would advertise the sheer fun in shooting…
The Biblical Reference they are using refers to the Millennial Reign of Christ, where Jesus Christ Himself physically rules the Earth from Jerusalem. The people then will turn their weapons into farming equipment because God Himself is physically ruling the Earth, and they won’t need weapons at that point.
Christ has not yet returned. The Earth is not yet peaceful, and there is still a need for weapons. They are taking scripture out of context, and that always causes trouble. My guns are not getting turned into farming implements any time soon.
@mattm Me too USPSA , IDPA and target shooting but I think of it as practice in case I have to defend myself. It is all part of being responsible.
Reminds me of folks who run gun buyback programs.
…proves their bad hermeneutics. Typical leftist.
I keep my e-tool sharp.
I’m trying to imagine what would happen
Knock Knock Knock
Me: Howdy
Them: Sir we want to buy your guns so we can make poop scopes out of them.
Me: I don’t see a dump truck full of ‘C’ notes out there, how much you payin.
Them: A fair price.
Me: How about this, you give me that pooper scooper for free so I can make a gun out of it?
Them: AAaaaaa
