The question is, whose religion, whose God? I see Gods everywhere! Go to a church, synagog, mosque, and you hear them talk of a Heavenly Father. For others, especially those who call themselves athiests, their Gods are a sports team or player, money, power, influence.
Many people in churches, synagogs and mosques go for networking when their true God is something other than the God people of faith tend to refer to.
Except for Buddhists, most other religions speak of God or Gods.
My sister in law wants daily bible reading in school. Despite being Christian, I find this a horrifying idea. My God granted all his children free will, the GOD GIVEN right to choose who or what our God would be. Him, work, football politics, it is our choice. This means the you selecting you manifestation of what faith looks like and forcing it down other peoples children throats is directly working against the God you claim to honor!
It is NOT your right to choose lest you become an enemy of God. Doesn’t the Bible warn of having a form of Godly devotion, but proving false to its power?
Yes it can be painful to witness what the world does, but in the end, do you have to stand before your God and explained why the neighbor did this or that? Nope, you explain you, and if you acted in ways to honor the free will god gave you, and the neighbor, I believe the Savior will stand up and say, “Father, this one is one of mine!”
America is slowly becoming less and less Christian. If we set precedent and force some flavor of Christianity on all, what happens the day after America suddenly finds itself predominantly Buddhist, or Muslim? Out go the Bibles, in come the Quoran and mandatory daily study, a legal precedent short sighted people started. What should we listen to your minorities pissing and moaning when you chose to ignore the complaints of others?
To be a good Christian, we must respect that God knows what he is doing. To fight against his plan…to disrespect his plan, I’d love to be there the day you explain that in his presence!

I’m a God fearing man. Yes I said fearing. The thing is I’m not one to push religion on anyone. If I didn’t believe, I would avoid a thread that is titled “We need to PRAY for our Country”. To argue that God doesn’t exist on a thread about praying ’ is kind of like trying to force a belief on others.
Anyway that’s all I want to say on this subject.

Your right. Just one god and His guidance the greatest of which is “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’ ; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”
At least everyone knows that they chose the right god…even though they chose different ones. No sheeple for me.

Are you being tricked by the other one … Are you in hell right now and the devil is tricking you… To think if he gets you to jump through all these hoops… You will get into heaven…Has that time has already passed … Think about it as a kid you used a magnifying glass to burn ants for about a day… Then you moved on it got boring …
Why do you think that is all he is going to do …What better way, Then to make you think you have a chance of going to heaven… To see what kind of evil shiat you will do, to get in, to other people…

In psychological terms we call this … Victimization is when someone is harmed or treated unjustly by another person. It can have psychological, physical, and financial consequences … Just because someone in your past ate an apple … AKA fruit from the forbidden tree …

I know because I’ve seen him, let me explain. (short version)
in september of 2003, I was going to my 3rd shift job to work a 10hr overtime shift. on a back road going through the mountains of the foothills south carolina. I was run off the road by another vehicle and my truck flipped over 3 times down in a valley and I was ejected. next thing I remember was standing and looking down at my body, feeling scared and confused. when my grandmother who had died 3 years before, appeared next to me and told me it wasn’t my time yet. there was a male figure standing to the side of her who I recognized but, wasn’t sure why he was there. they both took me by my hands and led me back to my body.
at the same time the fire department were trying to get me stable, and not having good luck from what I recall them saying. after 5 + months I came out of a coma, but I was still a trach dependent quad. I was a c-2 incomplete with a severe TBI, the dr’s said I would need care 24/7 for the rest of my life.
shortly after I was able to talk again I told the story of what I remembered happening to my mom. she doubted me at 1st, until I told her a secret that only she and my grandma knew. when I got done telling her she turned pale white and started crying. that proved it all to her.
over the years I have gotten some feeling back due to experimental surgeries, and being stubborn and I even taught myself how to walk and do some of my own daily function’s again. even though I have short term memory issues and need assistance with daily life things. I am still a house and property owner, I mow my own grass (3 acres), plow my own drive and take care of my families needs, by being a good husband, father and protector.
don’t ask me to describe the guy that was with my grandma, but, I will know him when it is my time to go to the other side. 
I am truly thankful that you made it and doing well… I also have no doubt in my mind what you are saying is true . Here is where we part ways on this… Dopamine, When you were injured. It started flooding your body. along with Epinephrine … There is evidence that very high levels of dopamine in the limbic system play a major role in emergence of hallucinations and delusions… This being said i want to reiterate . I am truly thankful you are doing well and hope (pray) you recover even more …

I hope you know, I am not disagreeing with what you said or believe… I enjoy good conversation and offer up different perspectives… I think Religion for some is an amazing thing … For some not so much… Like anything it is what you do with it is what matters…
If it makes you a kinder better person then that is perfect… If it makes you want to strap a bomb to your chest and run into a crowd … Not so perfect … My god, who would want virgins … Experience matters , If i had a leak, I would want the plumber to know how to handle the pipes… I digress…

No, Religion specifically Christianity is the problem! You all sew more hate and division in the world than any other group of people in America. Keep your God out of politics! We were founded on the separation of church and state!
