Mike, I’m no statistician, but from my own geeking out and digging down rabbit holes of stats, and from other unbiased studies I can find on gun control, it appears that strict gun control laws have absolutely zero effect at all on violent crime. None.

There are locations like Washington DC with some of the strictest gun control laws in the country, and it is the most violent, dangerous piece of land in the US. Then there are places like Maine with minimal gun control laws and some of the lowest violent crime.

People actually wanting to reduce violent crime need to eliminate gun laws as a variable, and focus on other factors to control, but we all know the people writing these laws are not being honest.

Very true. But the people who write these laws are folks who made the effort to run for office and convince the majority of the electorate to vote for them. The important question is “Why do pro-2A folks not get off their couches, run for and figure out how to win political office?

To win in politics one has to learn how to lie and cheat. I would rather have an honest population. Does that answer your question?

So, if you’re unwilling to engage in the nastiness that is politics, then you need to get happy with the anti-2A crowd telling you can and can’t do.

Well yes if that is what works for you. I try to convince as many people as I can to be responsible armed. I think the best thing to do is to show compassion for the nastiness. They are not thinking correctly. I think they are mainly driven by fear.

But wait, there’s more! I noted the guns and ammo tax increase, something WV eliminated as it’s unconstitutional.

This is what they want, you and I to pay for the things They decide you Need

If we ensure Washington’s wealthiest pay what they truly owe in taxes, the rest of us will have what we need — like affordable health care, housing, and food."

Every single place has a sous chef/line cook opening. One salary listed, 62-72k. Thinking you have a good skill, guess we all gotta’ eat.

Took advantage of a day that looked like New England, but freer
