This is excellent news! I sincerely hope it succeeds and the people of Denver city and county will be able to arm themselves once again! (I live outside Denver)
Then revisit the standard capacity magazine ban……
It failed because the court threw out key evidence that proved common use….. but for all the people I’ve ever met who own an AR/AK, or any other variant of modern semiautomatic rifles,…. Not one of them only had 15 round capacity magazines, the most common are 30 rounds
This goes hand in hand with the battle for body armor in ny? Where the government cannot legislate restrictions on constitutionally protected rights, then claim the right is null because it’s not commonly used.
I’ve said it before, but legislation is how we got to civilians not having machine guns! First a tax that made them only affordable for the elite,… then a full ban (1986) further excluding citizens owning them,…. And now they’re claiming “not in common use” to persecute anyone with anything that can be construed as a machine gun or even a part that could be used in one!
