Washed my magazine. In the washing machine

Back in 2005 when Hurricane Katrina flooded my house I had ammo that was underwater for over 2 weeks and it was another 6 weeks before we we able to get back to the house. When i found the ammo I brought it to my new house and finally decided to see what would happen when I tried to shoot some of them. To my amazement the 20 or so rounds I fired worked without any problems. I’ve bought a lot of ammo since then but i do keep these in my desk drawer as a reminder

Welcome to the family brother @Gregory80 and god bless you.

I unintentionally washed and dried a reload round. Like you I kept it separate and then fired it to see what would happen. Fired fine and I was happy to see it worked. I would never have trusted it for defense and in a case like yours, suck it up and buy new carry ammo. You should swap carry ammo regularly anyway, so just look at it as an earlier than scheduled swap.

Maybe some Fels-Naptha? In case you end up shooting through poison oak.
