I rarely reply to a story. not because I don’t have an opinion on most of what I read, rather, I really try to remain in the background until something important comes up.
This is one of those times.
The US foreign policies regarding just about anything, anywhere, created the mess in Israel, same as in the Ukraine and so many others. So, it comes as no surprise that our imperial leaders would not be bothered to come to the aid of US citizens, whether or not they were warned in advance of the volatile situation in the region.
President Reagan said it best: To be an enemy of the United States of America is dangerous. To be a friend of the United States (or apparently a citizen stuck in a country at war), is FATAL.
