Seattle, WA – A gas station clerk in the Georgetown neighborhood shot a man in self-defense following a tense confrontation outside the Chevron station on East Marginal Way South on Monday evening, according to the Seattle Police Department (SPD). The incident unfolded around 6 p.m., when the clerk, who was on break and sitting in his car, asked two individuals to leave the premises after observing them using narcotics in the parking lot.
The situation quickly escalated after the man, identified as the suspect, became hostile and threw a rock, shattering the clerk’s car window.
The suspect allegedly threatened the clerk, stating, “I’ll shoot you too,” causing the clerk to fear for his safety. Moments later, the man approached the vehicle in a threatening manner and appeared to reach for his waistband.
Fearing for his life, the 69-year-old clerk responded by firing a single shot, hitting the suspect in the abdomen. The suspect fled across the street before collapsing in the parking lot of a nearby Jack in the Box. Authorities arrived on the scene shortly after and provided aid before transporting the suspect to Harborview Medical Center for surgery. He is expected to survive, with his condition listed as serious but stable.
The clerk, who immediately called 911 and cooperated fully with police, has not been arrested. Police have seized both the clerk’s firearm and shell casing as evidence, [leaving him defenseless from follow-up retaliation attacks], and detectives are continuing their investigation.
Here’s the rub (for me) WHY do the STASI feel they have the right to take our weapons after
a justifiable shoot?

He’s near (70) working @ a $13.00 an hour Gas Station, has to replace the window on his car ($250?) and what about when ‘Numbnuts’ gets out of the Hospital or sends one of his Junky friends to attack him in retaliation? He can throw a Burrito @ him amirite?
