Voter ID in Utah

I know a lot of you folks have Utah Concealed Carry Permits. Drop on by, stack the ballot box. :roll_eyes:

VOTER ID REQUIREMENTS

In order to vote in Utah, you need valid voter I.D.

This is either a form of identification that bears the name and photograph of the voter or two forms of identification that bear the name of the voter and provide evidence of the voter’s residence,

In Utah, these forms of identification include:

  1. A currently valid Utah driver license;
  2. A currently valid ID card issued by the state or a branch, department, or agency of the United States;
  3. A currently valid Utah permit to carry a concealed weapon;
  4. A currently valid United States passport; or
  5. A valid tribal ID card, whether or not the card includes a photograph of the voter.

On my way :grin:. Should be entertaining “Sir, this address on your permit shows a CT address. On the back it shows WV…and it’s expired.”

"Hey, Mike sent me.":joy:

Which makes it invalid. A person my daughter knows found that out the hard way trying to enter Mexico from the USA with an expired passport from his home country - not the USA. Now he’s vacationing in Texas. Adios Pendejo! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Pretty sure the CT address on the permit would be the first indication something ain’t up to snuff…which is when I fall back to that proven defense of " Miguel me envió y dijo que está bien." :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

That should allow me to vote…at least twice.

Interesting, I didn’t realize Utah’s concealed carry permit could also be used as voter ID. That’s definitely an unusual item on the list compared with the usual driver’s license or passport.
