To save time draw a plus sign. Try to hit where the lines intersect.

Tomato stakes , paper plates and a sharpie marker and depending on how dialed in you wanna to get the plastic top or anything about a inch round like a WD-40 cap and trace a round hole in the middle of it, and a staple gun to of course. There ya go .Extra wide sharpie that is

KISS! Once you’re dialed in… speed things up! Once you have that dialed in…start moving…multiple targets…etc. Next thing you know you’re a shooter!

I remember when we were young and we would shoot everything, I remember when we were shooting the railroad tracks with a .30-06 man what a noise that made. ( I typed this last night, musta nodded off ). Anyhow someone musta called the cops on us because on the way back three or four cops crossed lol . Out the old party road called Guyan River Road.

You can also use the horizonal line for you sight picture Aquisition, meaning it will show you how your sights line up at distances.

Some guns will be the 6 O’clock and some guns will be combat picture or even center hold. By using the like drill this will help you figure out what your sights need to be shooting. Distance can change the sight picture too.

Every single one has the same setup.
The same red dot with exactly same zero distance.

Be consistent, one day you may find yourself in bad situation with the firearm you don’t remember how it’s setup.
