As a US MARINE, let me make a statement. I don’t carry and didn’t serve over 20 years for my self defense. I did that and do carry for the defense of others. I’ve sworn to protect the Constitution. And 2A states, shall not be infringed. So we’re losing this battle because we don’t know the line. For no one should need a permit permission to carry.
First: thank you for your service. I know that’s generally a hollow compliment, but I do mean that from the bottom of my heart.
Secondly: welcome to the community! You will find some discourse here, relax, it’s the internet and armchair warriors abound.
Finally: as was posted above pertaining to the active case;

To clear some waters, the USCCA and the insurance company are both committed to a fair review of information and are actively working to re-review details. The information and statements provided at the time of the incident did not paint the picture of a self-defense incident, which is why it was not covered at that time. The self defense liability insurance policy only covers lawful acts of self defense. Both Delta Defense and the insurance company have been actively trying to contact the member to connect with his attorney and gain a clearer understanding of the situation. The priority is to ensure that all relevant information is considered. The insurance company is reaching out to the member and Delta Defense has been in contact with them to learn additional details and determine next steps. He is still an active USCCA member.
