Is there any evidence that the projects listed below ever occurred? I suspect that the requests for money that were supposedly spent on the list of projects listed in this article were buried in those 8000 page bills and little or no money was ever spent on those projects. It’s more likely most of the money was funneled into the bank accounts of bureaucrats and politicians, the ones screaming the loudest because they are about to be discovered.

I suspect those projects occur, we just can’t prove they were failed projects. My guess is they failed because there wasn’t enough funding.

No evidence either way but some of them are pretty far fetched. What got me thinking was a video of an interview with a local in Afghanistan showing a school that had supposedly been built with air conditioning courtesy of USAID. I should have saved it but I can’t find it now.
The one room adobe building had desks but no doors and no windows. They could have been stolen but who knows.
It’s hard to tell what’s true and what isn’t anymore but given what we know now, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if at least some of these were pure scams.
Color me suspicious.

Ukraine immediately said they never received nearly the amount of $$ that USAID said they gave them. Sadly, I wasn’t surprised at all and actually believe them this time.

Keep in perspective that the national debt is currently $36 TRILLION. It represents money the government printed to financial politically popular social programs and military adventurism. Every single year, the federal government’s deficit (money the federal government prints) is around $2 TRILLION of annual spending of around $7 TRILLION.
Printing money devalues the currency which takes the form of the inflation that robs us every time we make a purchase, pay a mortgage, buy a car, pay for utilities. It is the ultimate tax.
The entire USAID annual spending is “only” $21 billion. Eliminating the entire agency does little to nothing to meaningfully cut back federal spending and money printing.

One of my former employers, The Dept of Treasury, can’t account for losing track of several trillion dollars. For the math challenged like me, A trillion has 12 zeros following the 1 when written out; 1,000,000,000,000.
How can that happen you might ask? Simple. Either they didn’t have an accountant on staff or they didn’t want anybody to know that was just the kickbacks.
