Keep in mind that the wave of Venezuelan migration is caused by the hyperinflation in Venezuela that destroyed people’s wealth, income and economy. That hyperinflation was caused by the socialist Venezuelan government that literally printed money to finance social programs and squandered the nation’s economic oil wealth.

The US ain’t that far behind Venezuela as the federal government runs on borrowed (aka “printed”) money that has reached a level where simply servicing the debt will consume all federal income (taxes). Printing money is why inflation spiked and drove Dems out of office. But, history has demonstrated time and again that Republicans rarely, if ever, show fiscal restraint when it comes to spending printed money on social programs and military adventurism.

I’ve said it on here many times, I work with Venezuelan expats, these guys are degreed engineers, they to a person say, out loud, “What the hell is wrong with Americans, they are doing and saying the exact same thing to you that they did to us…”.

Guilt is a powerful tool. It can be easily offset by asking the people who wield it to go first with giving everything and more. They never, ever, do that. I do not see a houseful of Venezuelans living in the Harris or Pelosi compound. Of the sex change wanters. Or the abortion wanters. Or the drug runners. Or the rapists. Or the people who won’t learn English. Or Or Or

Trump said as many as ten million. Hell, even just a million is a tall order.

How? Will he commandeer every school bus in the country and run them day and night for years?

He didn’t kick them out last time. Hell, Obama deported more illegals than Trump.

Trump just says these things as campaign promises. They all do this. It’s just talk to get your vote. That’s all it is. Big empty promises.

Two more long months to go. No tellin’ what they’ll do meantime.

The way they keep shooting at him, he might not even make it to the Inauguration.

Then, there’s the question of what an “illegal” migrant is.

Many of the Haitians in Springfield OH that Trump claims are eating dogs and cats are here under the government’s “Temporary Protected Status” (TPS) program that allows them to live and work in the US until it’s safe to return to Haiti. Are they “illegal” or “legal” migrants?

Other folks who cross the border are processed by DHS and paroled into the US while awaiting a hearing on their asylum or humanitarian claims. The average waiting time to hear their case is around 4 years, during which time they reside and work in the US under DHS’s parole programs (there are more than one program, BTW). Are they “illegal” or “legal” migrants?

And then there are the families of migrants. In the 4+ years that a migrant waits for a hearing, it’s entirely possible that the migrant may have children born in the US. The opening lines of the 14th Amendment provide “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside.” So, are the children of migrants in the US under the TPS or parole programs citizens or “illegal” or “legal” migrants?

Are DACA participants “illegal” or “legal” migrants? How about the children of DACA participants?

The problem of illegal immigration, in my view, was created by an utterly incompetent government bureaucracy that fails to timely process the folks who show up at the borders. Building a wall or sending the military to the border won’t fix that incompetence.

The very people he claims he’ll deport are, the vast majority of them, war-aged young men, who will likely be given a rifle or rocket launcher and sent back through the open border to start wreaking havoc when the time comes.

What’s the big deal about eating cats and dogs? Americans will be doing same soon enough. When the grocery stores are empty, little cuddly poodle poochy cutey will make a fine meal.

Did they apply for and await their approval in their native country?

If not,… then illegal.

Again, did they apply for asylum and wait for approval in their native countries?

If not, then illegal.

First off,… why was the parent (one or both of them) in the United States illegally?

IF, and this is a big if, one of the genetically validated parents is a US citizen, “born or naturalized”

Then the child remains a US citizen and the illegal parent is deported until such time as they complete the proper process to become a naturalized citizen.

If both parents are NOT Citizens, (AKA illegal) then the whole fam damily is deported.

I really don’t understand why this is a question.
