In a April 2026 unanimous decision, the U.S. Supreme Court sided with First Choice Women’s Resource Centers, a NJ-based anti-abortion group, against the New Jersey Attorney General’s office, ruling that a subpoena seeking donor lists and internal documents unconstitutionally chilled the group’s First Amendment rights. The ruling allows First Choice to proceed with a federal lawsuit to block the state investigation into whether they deceptively marketed services.
