At the end of the day I think Trump is a better dancer. I don’t underestimate him. I have seen him wrestle with G-d. We have all seen it. I think we need to learn to embrace it.

I can’t speak to MacGregor’s qualifications. But Unfortunately from what I have seen all the really good people who are more interested in doing the right thing for everyone else instead of putting all their focus in gaining power for themselves and their backers want nothing to do with wading into the corrupt swamp to become President.
We need to find a way to draft one of these truly wise people who want nothing to do with the job and force them to run.

And with the way Drumpf is bloviating (again) about how he may handle the Middle East and the Israeli terrorists may lead us into a catastrophic war.
He’s green lighted Israel getting more 2,000 lb. bombs. When the ceasefire ends, the Israeli criminals will undoubtedly start dumping them on the unarmed Palestinians again and continue their genocide. They can’t touch HAMAS. Too powerful. Much better soldiers than any Israeli. Underground. So the terrorists of Israel will kill civilians instead. Again.
This will make Trump and USA complicit in the genocide.
This will also fire up the Houthis again, with their Chinese hypersonics no one can stop.
This may also fire up Iran.
Trump has even called up Jordan and Egypt and asked them to take the Palis in and empty Gaza… so Trump and Kushner can get in on the ground floor building Gaza “in a different way” (Trump’s very own words) and enrich themselves more, plus give Israel everything they want.
Drumpf is higher than a f#cking kite.
The Palis nor HAMAS are going anywhere.
Drumpf better reel in that sick plan immediately.
Gonna be real interesting, to say the least, how this is going to play out.
It doesn’t look good.
There are a bunch of things that have me very concerned about Trumps Presidency. The one thing that I am a little more comfortable with is that he likes to speak loudly but carries a small stick. He seems very adverse to getting involved in wars. Makes sense since he doesn’t seem to make much of his money off of the military industrial complex. My biggest hope for his presidency is that this trend will continue.
But since he and Rubio seem to be going out of their way to pledge their unlimited allegiance to Israel I am concerned that Israel will succeed in pulling us into a war with Iran that would likely expand across the Middle East and beyond.
That is the idea.

Absolutely. He is. But he’s stuck with this war whether or not he likes it (he hates it). He can’t get out of this jam. He’s committed to Nuttyyahoo and the Israel Lobby. He must back them no matter what they do. He’s given them the bombs – and Israel will start using them.
Trump can’t avoid the war and hostilities. He’s peeing his pants and rubbing out what’s left of his hair in hopes there is a way out of this.
There is no way out of this.

I think many would willingly leave if presented with even a poor alternative. But there is no one willing or able to take on all the problems that diaspora would bring along with it.
So do agree the Israelis are stuck with that problem and we will likely keep allowing ourselves to get sucked into the middle of it.

Well that depends how far back you carry the always. I am only vaguely familiar with the history of that area but could probably come up with a dozen or so different political and cultural affiliations who claimed ownership to that land over the millennia without having to look it up.
It is a quagmire with thousands of years worth of bad blood. Seems best to me to let them work it all out on their own, or not, but we should be keeping US out of their fight. Our involvement just keeps making the situation worse for everyone involved.
