Yea buddy, these lawyers get paid a lot to come to come up with this crap. They are saying, in writing that Robinson had no idea that shooting a 30.06 into a crowd had high probability of death to someone other than Charlie Kirk. But Wait, isn’t it already pretty well established that the person that pulls the trigger is responsible for that projectile, no matter what it happens to hit? Isn’t already Well Know that bullets often do go through their target and hit other tragets?
This could easily establish a two tiered gun ownership platform requiring training for possession of a firearm…
We as defenders, through our training, know and are aware that bullets do not stop at their intended target, and as such are responsible for every round we fire.
Tyler never got that training, so he didn’t understand the consequences of pulling a trigger and shouldn’t have had access to a firearm in the first place.
Of course, while further restricting lawful gun owners by requiring training in order to possess, that would also create an incompetence defense for anyone who commits a crime with a gun. (Think school shooters, gang violence)
At the end of the day, he knew damned well that the gun he was using could cause harm. That was after all his exact intention when he brought the gun to the event.
Ignorance of ballistic pass through does not forgive the intention to murder another human being under any circumstance.
