Two-tier 2A

Check out this article from AMAC. If passed, this will create two worlds for CCW holders. While it certainly makes sense on one level, it makes none overall. Have a look. I would also add that I do respect and admire the military people this discusses, but am concerned about unintended outcomes as looking at just one group for federalized CCW makes many, many others second class citizens.

Other than too many vets having PSTD, what could possibly go wrong?

As someone who could qualify for this, it is wrong . All are equal under the bill of rights.

You are a genuine good person. I believe at times, too forgiving of those that hate us, but I do understand your point of view and we are all allowed to have opinions, whether we agree or not. What do not agree with is stereotyping and personal insults and general hatred or scorn of people based on their beliefs, politics, religiosity, perceived socio-economic status, etc. I will repudiate those that act like that, and we all know who I am referring to - there are three major offenders who clearly project their immasculine bahaviors on those they ignorantly hate.

Odd proposal. Unless I misunderstand the purpose of Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act, it is first - for officers to protect themselves from retaliation, and second - to have more trained citizens available to address a threat (force multiplier).

The first doesn’t apply to soldiers. the second applies to all people that are trained in handling firearms. So if being a force multiplier is the only reason, I would say that if anyone can pass a “firearms training and marksmanship standards match or exceed those of retired law enforcement officers” (like New Jersey’s concealed carry test, for example), then they should get a national carry licence.

Although I think it’s a little comical to compare the markmanship of a typcial LEO to that of a special forces operator.

Indeed, Brother.

Would not concealed carry fall under the definition of “BEAR ARMS” and therefore not be infringed?
