If you enjoy biographies, look for the bios of Cleopatra and Benjamin Franklin by Stacy Schiff, an author who’s gained a significant reputation and popularity. Her research on Franklin alone involved 12,000 documents and papers of his - even grocery and laundry lists. FYI
I may look into adding these to my collection. I plan to do a lot more reading this year.

If you really enjoy historical fiction and want a challenge, look at Colleen McCullough’s “Masters of Rome” series - in “Fortune’s Favorites”, she has a different take on Spartacus. I consider the series a brilliant masterpiece.
