President Trump has made it eminently clear on many occasions that he fully supports The Second Amendment of The Constitution of the United States of America. I don’t know why the poster feels that the absence of mentioning the issue, if indeed there were no mentions of gun rights at the convention, would imply that President Trump snubs or otherwise doesn’t support gun rights. I think the conclusion that President Trump is snubbing or not for gun rights based upon the entire convention’s lack of talking points on this one subject is too skeptical, with respect. There are many democrats trying to decide whether or not to proverbially jump ship to Trump and making too much noise about gun rights may not be such a great idea. In any event I am sure they have their reasons. I would not ‘assume’ the lack of said comments would imply that all of Trump’s prior pro-gun comments are null and void just because of not making it a big issue at the convention.

I don’t recall him mentioning the first or fourth amendments either, but I never suspected that meant he didn’t fully support them. I’m sure, given all the lawfare leveled against him, he fully supports the fifth amendment, but he didn’t mention that as well.
Comes November 5th, all this doesn’t matter.

I thought it interesting in that it was just a few days after the shooting at the rally of July 13.
However, there was no outcry for more strict firearm laws during that convention.
Although also scary to think of, if it were a “different convention and opposing party” who were shot at, can you imagine the blame on legal firearm owners?
I for one applaud the lack of outcry against the second amendment after such an atrocity!
To not cower under your guards and jump out ready to fight an assailant armed with a gun.
