True Story?

After the Ohio Lottery Commission was set up in the '70s, I heard that one of its commissioners had to resign. Under our laws, a convicted felon can’t be hired for a government job, and this 63-year-old character had been convicted of rape in 1929, but managed to slip through the background screening. Marion Barry, on the other hand, was ELECTED for mayor of D.C. after his jail term ended.
