Travis King, the U.S. soldier who crossed South Korea's border into North

North Korea previously claimed that King had told investigators he crossed the border because he, “harbored ill feeling against inhuman maltreatment and racial discrimination within the U.S. Army.”

Either this, or he did acid, or had undiagnosed mental illness. I cannot imagine another reason to “abscond from flight into the US” and willingly go into NoKo. What does everyone else think?

I just want to know what treasure biden gave away for his return, way too much I’m sure. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I am sure he did not think, really, just acted. Since he was looking at getting sent back to the US and doing some time. Then NK figured out he knew nothing, was not going to be worth anything, and just a drain.

So will he be charged with Desertion or AWOL maybe Treason? Or will he be exonerated as a victim of some damn thing or another?

I agree with your take. Also almost feel sorry for the guy. You have to be really useless and probably also incredibly annoying to be rejected by the North Koreans. They don’t get too many opportunities to use American soldiers as political pawns.

Though the way the U.S. has been giving up huge assets and really evil prisoners in order to free low level Americans it wouldn’t completely surprise me if they traded some ICBM plans for this guys release:/

Did he have a Red back pack (Like Hunter’s) w/ him when he RAN across the border?
Maybe he was making a ‘drop’ for Puddin’ & Company?
He was just the latest Delivery Boy…oh sorry, RACIST REMARK! Note to self: STOP THAT!
Delivery Person. Sheeeeesh!

He won’t be ‘Charged’ w/ anything…he will just disappear.

This dude seriously needs some kind of mental distress medical treatment once discharged from the military and released back into civilian population. A good example to put this guy on a Red Flag Registry watch so he won’t legally purchase any firearms of any sort. BUT, it probably won’t happen. Hopefully, he won’t make some horrific news some day.

He’s an idiot. The sadest part is that he’s employed by our military.
