Thoughts on the ole .45?

Would you pack one for daily carry? ICONIC BIG BORE: THE .45 ACP. - The Classic Woodsman

Yes, most days I do. :+1:
Taurus PT1911 or SA XdM.

I carry a .45, but not a 1911. The .45ACP is a good round.

Well, if you aren’t carrying a .45, you would be able to carry a purse. :sunglasses:

I thought it was called a “murse”. :sunglasses: It was a line Lady Ballers, where he called it his “murse”. :sunglasses:

9mm is my preferred caliber but .45 would be my second choice in a mid to large size pistol if I couldn’t carry a 9 for some reason. Maybe even my first choice if I lived in a state where I was limited to 10 round magazines.

If I had one, I’d carry it. I wonder if they are too big and bulky but I’d tough it out.

If that’s the 5.11 shoulder bag, I have the exact same one. For me, in my area it looked too tactical, so I switched to a Fossil Man Bag.

No one would ever expect a .45ACP to be hidden in a Fossil Man “Purse”. Be the grey man!

I’ve used it twice for off body carry. Both to a doctor’s office and both times the nurse went to move it, remain calm and wait for the question!
“That’s heavy, what’s in it?” As she moved it.

On one occasion I told her it was chocolate, she laughed, I laughed, my L4 and L5 vertebrae laughed! She never asked again. Second time, different nurse, I told her it was gold bars from Rosland Capital! She laughed, you know the thing.

I prefer my firearm be attached to my hip.
More control, less moving parts!
I like your setup, shoulder holstered under a jacket, I presume?

My edc is 9mm for concealment and capacity, but there’s 2x 1911s and a FNX tactical hanging in my safe if SHTF!

Better clean and lube today, it’s already hitting! Numerous states are backing Texas! Lock-n-load. It’s gonna be a bumpy ride!

.45ACP is my first choice and I almost did. But, prior to renewal, my compact 1911 had hiccups at the range, could be mag-related. I plan to upgrade (minor) to a Kimber then qualify on next renewal.
