Then you drove significantly under the speed limit while talking on your phone. There were 2 lanes of traffic traveling in the same direction and you were in the right hand lane so I passed you. Yes I was in a hurry and yes my engine was revving as I accelerated around you but I did not slow you down and did not cut you off, or even look at you. I simply proceeded on my way faster than you chose to.
At the next light when you jumped out of your truck, ripped your jacket off in an attempt to be intimidating, and began approaching my vehicle on foot in the middle of traffic you yelled something to the effect of voicing your belief that I was afraid of you because I rolled up my window and then drove off quickly when the light changed before you could get to where I was. Let me teach you something about life.I was not, and am not afraid of you. I am a responsible firearms owner and I have a Duty to Retreat if at all possible. I am very glad for both our sake that the light changed when it did because if you had managed to initiate the level of violence that you were threatening, a very different and tragic outcome would very likely have been the result of the situation you initiated. Thankfully you still have your life and your health to consider a different course of action the next time your obviously fragile ego is bruised. I hope you do, as the next person may not exercise the same restraint. Have a wonderful day.

We have to remind ourselves every stinkin’ day that WE ARE THE GOOD GUYS!! We are the guys who are out there in public ready to protect ourselves to the fullest extend the law will allow. In some states, that extent comes with a short leash. In other states the leash is longer. I am so glad I live in Texas. L O N G leash. We have the Castle Doctrine. We have Stand Your Ground.
