This law is unnecessary:

our U.S. Constitution prohibits handgun rosters and federal law already provides the mechanism for fedzilla to prosecute (with hefty fines and prison sentences) government employees for “Deprivation of rights under color of law”.

Well instead of enforcing the laws already on the books we try to look busy by making duplicate laws.

Close enough for government work.

Needs to be done because of states like NY that at one point actually PUBLISHED the names and addresses of every legal CC permit holder in a newspaper… And yes they do keep a roster of every gun owner and every handgun that is registered to their name.

Im in MA… handgun roster that picks colors and must be made specifically with a 10 round mag (cant just not recieve bigger mags and buy 10s with it)… coming in October, full roster for ANY type of weapon… and when Supreme Court ruled on bump stocks and stuff like that, MA ignores it … (same with suppressors, dont expect any change even if that SHH bill got passed)… so unfortunately, idk if it would even make a difference on state levels if they did federally ban them.
Edit: any type of firearm i meant… other weapons like blades are already almost fully banned off your property (any blade bigger than like 4" pocket knife or somethin)
