This is not a fist fight

As a retired Police Detective I was fascinated by the USCCA clip entitled “This is not a fistfight, it’s a gunfight” which just came in my email today (08/17/2021).

Regardless of what physically happened or if any details were left out, B J Baldwin gives a primer on the verbiage that should be used when discussing a shooting incident after the fact. I strongly suspect that this was the result of discussion with an attorney.

Had I been assigned the investigation of this incident, Mr. Baldwin’s statement would have stood strong especially if the evidentiary scene supported the statement. This would have been extremely important to me as I would have been motivated to look for and arrest the second individual who ran away.
